This tourism-promo video should be taken with a pinch of salt, but I’ve included it here because it shows a lot of Zimbabwe’s gems and gives an overview of the country for first-timers. My advice would be to look at the visuals first and listen to the words last 🙂
The introduction states that Zimbabwe is ‘a small country’, which is the first piece of information that I found misleading. Zimbabwe is over 390500 kilometres square and is bigger than Germany, Poland, Italy and others. In terms of area, it is 52nd out of 192 countries in the world –  meaning it’s in the top third of the world’s biggest countries. I don’t think ‘small’ is a helpful description. With my complaining out of the way, here’s a picture of what Zimbabwe looked like in 2012:
