Independence Day 2016: Zimbabwe National Anthem

Zimbabwe National Anthem

Independence Day … A day when the national anthem is on repeat in my head.
Some of the anthem’s lyrics are yet to be realized in present-day Zimbabwe; some of the words will ring true throughout the generations.
One thing is on the minds of many Zimbabweans today:
36 years after Independence Zimbabwe has a 92 year old President who has been in power for 36 years. (Last phrase is from CathyBuckle.com.)

O God we beseech thee to bless our native land
